Instance
An instance is a copy of an area which is created and maintained by the server for use by a group of players. Instances are commonly used for certain activities like arenas, but open world regions are also considered a type of instance that persist even after players leave and does not require a party to enter.
Players in separate instances from one another cannot see or interact with each other.
Mechanics
- Open world instances
- Some regions are instanced in the sense that they can only be accessed by characters within a certain level range. This includes locations like Great Rebellion and Depthless Orifice; each are largely open world areas to explore, but can only be entered by characters that meet a minimum level requirement.
- Depthless Orifice has three instances depending on character level and/or where it is entered from.
- Group instances
- When a player in a party attempts to enter an instance (e.g. by starting an arena), all other party members are teleported into the instance.

- Limited to 1-2 parties
- Limited to a guild
Notes
- Great Rebellion is shown on the Idios world map even though it is considered an instanced location. This is because it is a large region that can only be entered by characters level 50 or higher.
