Player vs Player (usually abbreviated as PvP) refers to the activities in the game focused on players, solo or as a party, competing against other players, as opposed to cooperative Player vs Environment (PvE). Some areas in the game world incorporate both PvE and PvP elements.
Instanced areas
- Primary article: Instances
Each PVP area is instanced, separate from the core open world, and can be limited by character level. Depthless Orifice is the only true "open world" PVP experience.
Arenas
- Primary article: Arenas
While arenas overall offer a PvE experience, the 20-25 and 40-45 arenas add an element of PvP to the timed challenge.
Guild vs Guild
- Primary article: Guild vs Guild
Guilds can sign up ever few days to compete in a guild vs guild arena challenge. Similar to the leveled PVP arenas, GVG is a timed challenge where each guild is competing to earn the most points - through player or mob kills - during the allotted time.
World bosses
- Primary article: World bosses
Some world bosses can be found within Depthless Orifice and can be aggressively contested by other players.
