An open world, as opposed to an instance, is all of the explorable regions on the world map that are open to all players. Open world allows players to meet and interact while exploring and questing.
Open world is set in PvE mode on the continent of ROG, and is divided into two provinces. Traveling between provinces is possible through portals in the capital cities (Rog Imperial City (V1) and Rog Imperial City (V3)), or by traversing through some instanced regions. There are portals throughout each province that aid in traveling between regions within a province as well.
Trivia
- The original beta releases of Ferentus, Herrcot, and Xiones included only one world map with a singular province. As part of the FHX Restoration community project, the provinces from previous releases were merged into one explorable world map.
