Skill

A skill is an ability that a class uses to deal additional magical damage or physical damage, apply curses/blessings, or to gain other passive advantages. Each class in each different game comes with its own set of skills that it can learn at different levels. Skills can be distinguished between active skills and passive skills, while passive skills do not have the abilitiy to be triggered manually by the player. Skills that are part of a Skill-Combo can be cast in a chain by pressing the left Shift key at the right moment when the combo bar appears.

Skill level

The effect strength of each skill is determined by the level of the skill, while a few skills are stuck to level 1 since they don't have an effect strength.

To level up a skill, it must be used a number of times equal to 2 x <current level>. For example, to increase a level 2 skill to level 3, it must be used 4 times; increasing a level 39 skill to 40 takes 78 casts. Summon skills behave a little differently - instead of gaining level progress for each cast, they gain progress for each monster killed while that summoned pet is active.
