When player characters are interacting with hostile targets you gather aggro by using skills, dealing damage or healing.
Some classes can maintain aggro by using specific skills that have taunting or provoking effects.
This is typicaly useful when tanks are combating bosses, since healing skills heavily stacks aggro upon support characters.
